Orval Wilson, 87, of Cheyenne, Wyo., died Saturday at United Medical Center-West.

He was born May 20, 1908 in Oxford, Idaho, and had lived in Cheyenne since 1993, with prior residence in Bountiful, Utah.

Mr Wilson had been an assistant general storekeeper for the union Pacific Railroad. He retired after 48 years of service.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Wilson was a member of U.P. Oldtimers.

He is survived by his wife, June H. Wilson of Cheyenne; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Boyd Spackman of Cheyenne; one sister, Jesse Barry of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Homer Wilson and Deb Wilson, both of Pocatello; three grandchildren, Ocee Moss of Dallas, Texas, Stacee Farro of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Kurt Sackman of England; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ann Wilson; one sister and four brothers.

Services were held in Cheyenne, Wyo., with internment in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Wilson is a brother-in-law to Mrs. Nell Hess, Mrs. Wilorie Lewis and Frank Thomas of Malad.
