OREL B. WISE
GARLAND – Orel Butler Wise, 68, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at his home in Garland, after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born June 11, 1931, in Garland, Utah, the son of Lawrence Minnion and Ellen Lavisa Butler Wise. He married Darlene Robbins on August 30, 1950, in the Logan LDS Temple.

Orel graduated from Bear River High School. He was recognized for his outstanding sales ability and achievement as one of the top Ford salesmen in the United States. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Thiokol in 1996, after 16 years.

He was a High Priest in the Garland 4th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Young Men’s Presidency and as a home teacher.

He is survived by his wife, his children, Jeff (Marie), Clearfield, Utah; Kelly, Tremonton, Utah; Cynthia (Tim) Williams, Kemmerer, Wyoming; Curtis (Laurie), Tremonton, Utah; Brent (Sherrie) Malad, Idaho; Jennifer (Tim) Hansen, Tremonton, Utah; Christopher (Nikki), Tremonton, Utah; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren, a sister Rhea Wise, Garland, and mother-in-law Lucille Robbins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Mark L. Wise, and a grandson, Tyson N. Wise.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at the Garland LDS 4th Ward Chapel.

Interment in the Garland Cemetery.
