NOEL RICHARDS

Noel Richards, 68, 991 Imperial, died Thursday evening, Oct. 25, 1990, at a local health care center following a brief illness.

He was born March 28, 1922, at Pocatello to William G. and Margaret Mable Waylett Richards. He attended local schools, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1939.

He married Martha Goddard on Dec. 18, 1954, in Pocatello.

He worked for First Security Bank, and was also a car salesman in Pocatello for many years, retiring from Hirning Pontiac in 1963. He was employed at Custom Topper at the time of his death.

He was a member of a the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and boating, and spending time at his cabin in Island Park.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Merritt Richards, and three daughters, Patty Gossett, Nancy Kelly and Lindsay Bischoff, all of Pocatello; nine grandchildren; a sister, Claudia Florek, Ogden, Utah; a half-sister, Sharon Kent, Blackfoot; two stepbrothers, Phillip Hatley, Basalt, and Lee Hatley, Blackfoot; and three stepsisters, Marjorie Robinson, Sequim, Wash., Helen Thorton, Littleton, Colo., and Donna Jean Bishoff, Blackfoot. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother and a half-sister.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. in the Henderson Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th, with Pres. Gordon Wilkes of the Pocatello LDS North Stake officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mountainview Cemetery.
