Nellie Jones Richards, 92, 374 N. 300 West, Malad, died Thursday, April 16, [1987] in Malad.

She was born May 19, 1894 in St. John, to John L. and Margery Tovey Jones. She was reared and educated in St. Joh, graduating from Malad High School. She later attended Utah State University and Idaho State University. She taught school in St. John for 1½ years. years.

She married Walter Scott Richards February 2, 1917 in Malad. He died December 22, 1939.

She was a member of the Church of Christ (Temple Lot).

She is survived by a son, Lorin Daniel Richards, Malad; three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Erma) Clark and Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Briggs, both of Malad; Mrs. Joseph C. (Vera) Morris, Portage, Utah; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Faye) Thomas and Mrs. Jane Jones, both of Malad; Mrs. Cleon (Hazel) Lusk, St. John. She was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday at noon at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad with Bishop Jerry Bush officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
