Moyle Emerson Facer

FACER, MOYLE EMERSON, December 4, 1903 – September 8, 1975

Moyle Emerson Facer, age 71, of Malad died Monday, Sept. 8, 1975 in the Oneida County Hospital of a heart attack.

He was born December 4, 1903 at Willard, Box Elder County, Utah, a son of William John and Caroline Williams Facer.

He married Elizabeth Burnett May 27, 1925 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Mr. Facer received his education in the Willard schools; resided in Willard, Holbrook and Malad. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and served as a Ward Clerk, MIA Superintendent, Sunday School Superintendent, President of Seventy’s Quorum; counselor in the Stake Presisdency; Sunday School teacher and was Stake Patriarch at the time of his death.

He was a member of the Oneida County Hospital Board; severed with the Boy Scouts; member of a water board; was a sportsman, farmer and cattleman.

Survivors include his widow, Malad; three sons and five daughters: Lyde W. Facer and Roger M. Facer, both of Malad; Mark R. Facer, LaCanada, CA; Mrs. Joyce (ReNee) Yearsley, Orem, UT; Mrs. Florene Ure, Salt lake City; Mrs. Don (Demona) Evans, Malad; Mrs. Bob (Ava) Michaelson, Pocatello; Mrs. Adrian (Patricia) Jones, Aurora, CO; 34 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Vance Facer, Morro Bay, CA; Mrs. Chloe Bailey, Pocatello; Mrs. Mae Marsh, Brigham City, UT.

Funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 9 at noon in the Malad Second LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Wesley Crowther officiating. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
