Vila Bell Facer

FACER, VILA BELL, May 17, 1909 – July 12, 1986

Vila Bell Facer, Malad, died in the Oneida County Hospital following a short illness on July 12, 1986.

She was born May 17, 1909 in Henderson Creek, just south of Malad, to Charles William and Elizabeth Centennial Parkinson Bell. She grew up and was educated at Henderson Creek and had been a lifelong resident of the Malad area.

She married Francis Marion Facer October 19, 1932 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. He died December 24, 1970.

She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as ward librarian, junior Sunday school teacher, Relief Society visiting teacher and nursery teacher.

She is survived by three sons, Reed B. Facer, Malad; Melvin B. Facer, Pocatello; Jay Francis Facer, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Sheila) Clark, Malad; Mrs. Richard (Maxine) Bodily, Centerville, UT; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Victor J. Bell and Delen C. Bell, both of Malad; and three sisters, Mrs. Bud (May) Richards, Malad; Mrs. Verna C. Earl, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Glenn (Fay) Lundquist, Malad.

She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Malad LDS Second Ward chapel with Bishop Howard May officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
