Funeral Friday for Minnie Richardson

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the Benson Funeral Home for Mrs. Minnie Ashton John Richardson, age 71, who died Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in an Ogden rest home of natural causes. Bishop Lon W. Corbridge will officiate.

Mrs. Richardson was born Sept. 5, 1898 at Portage, Utah, to Hyrum W. and Emma Elias John Ashton. She was married to Moses E. John, Sept. 6, 1916, in the Logan LDS Temple. They were divorced Nov. 25, 1930. She was married to Walter T. Richardson in 1960. He died in April, 1963. Mrs. Richardson was an active member of the LDS church and a retired practical nurse. She had made her home in Ogden for the past 25 years.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Neil (Emma) Thorpe, Malad; Mrs. Jerry (Rhemo) Jensen, Ogden; Mrs. Wilson (Velma) Gray, Gardena, Calif.; Mrs. John (Ludeen) Raso, Torrance, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Joseph Ashton, Pocatello; Mrs. Brigham (Mary) Jones, Warren Ashton, Malad; Harvey Ashton, Mrs. Hugh (Merle) McLane, Ogden.

Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home Thursday and Friday prior to services. Burial will be at Malad City Cemetery.
