Millie Jones Lamb, 95, of Malad, passed away Monday evening June 9, at the Oneida County Hospital in Malad. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 14, at 12 Noon at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad. Friends may call on Friday evening at the Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to services.

Millie Lamb
Millie Bloxham Jones Lamb, 95 of Malad, passed away Monday June 9, 1997 at the Oneida County Hospital. She was born February 5, 1902 at Downey, Idaho, the daughter of Erastus Zacharia and Sarah May Wakley Bloxham. There were fourteen children in her family. She attended school at the Woodland Idaho grade school and graduated from the eighth grade.
She married Hugh L. Jones on September 21, 1920 and they were parents of two daughters. The oldest daughter, Delpha, died when she was nine years old. Mr. Jones passed away May 1, 1950. On April 15, 1968, she married Leo Lamb and he passed away two years after they were married.
Millie enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She always had beautiful flowers and a huge garden to share with family and friends. She raised her last big garden when she was 89 years old. She loved to fish and usually caught more than anyone else. She made many beautiful crocheted articles and quilts and loved to give them to her special friends.
She was a member of the Malad LDS First Ward and served in the Relief Society and Sunday School in the Reynolds Branch when she was young.
She is survived by one daughter, Lucretia (Lou) and Claude Williams of Malad; three grandchildren, Delpha Hubbard and Kerry J. Williams of Malad, Randy Williams of Pocatello; Six great grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers: John N. Bloxham, Howard Bloxham, both of Hemet, California and Cohn Bloxham of Shelley, Idaho; three sisters: Lula Bloxham of Caldwell, Idaho; Orra Clark of Hemet, California; and Elna Barnes of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 14, at the Horsley Funeral Home in Malad with Bishop Hess of the Malad LDS First Ward officiating.
