MARY JOSEPHINE BARNETT HOLMES BROGNA LAMBERT

ROY – Mary Josephine Barnett Holmes Brogna Lambert, 84, passed away Monday, January 31, 2005 at Crestwood Care Center.

Mary was born December 6, 1920 in Malad, Idaho to Joseph and Lola House Barnett. She married Arthur A. Holmes on October 31, 1937 in Brigham City, UT, they later divorced. She married Bernard A. Brogna on March 20, 1943 in Boston, MA; they later divorced. She then married Donald Lambert and later divorced.

She was a member of the LDS church. She retired from the IRS after many years of service.

Mary was an artist in her younger years, a seamstress, and was avid at cross-stitch. She loved to play pinochle, and also enjoyed family gatherings and working with her hands.

Surviving are her children, Wilson A. (Rebecca) Holmes, Ogden; Bernard R. (Betty) Brogna, Louisiana; Loraine (Parlie) Alton, Florida; step-daughter, Janet Rossi, Utah; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Myron (Nola) Jones, Idaho; Grant (Helen) Jones, Idaho; and Carrie (J. Clair) Robinson, Plain City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Lola Jean Daniels.

To those wishing to send flowers, Mary’s favorite colors were red and pink.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Malad City Cemetery, Malad, Idaho under the direction of Myers Mortuary in Ogden.
