Michael Tingey Fonnesbeck

Howell-Michael Tingey Fonnesbeck, 61, passed away May 28, 2009 in the Mackay Dee Hospital from a Pulmonary Embolism. He was born September 22, 1947 to Stanford and Donna Marie Fonnesbeck in Brigham City. He married the love of his life, Shauna Lee Andreasen, on January 25, 19974. They were sealed in the Ogden Temple August 29, 1978. He attended Howell Grade School and graduated from Bear River High in 1965. He grew up in Howell and worked with his dad on the family farm. He then joined the Military and served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He worked at 2nd street in Ogden and was employed at Thiokol for 33 years. He was on the fire department and retired as the assistant fir chief. He made many friendships to last a lifetime. He also taught EMT classes to many organizations. He served as first and second counselor in the Howell Bishopric and held many other positions in the LD Church. He enjoyed being with family and friends and telling stories of all the places he went in the Air Force. He knew the history and ancestry of the Howell Valley and loved to talk about it. Mike had a great love for farming and could talk for many hours about tractors, farm implements and raising grain. He raised sheep for many years. He always taught his children to be fair and honest and the value of hard work. He is survived by his wife, Shauna. His daughters Camille (Chad) Anderson of Bothwell, Michelle Fonnesback of Seattle, Katie Lee Anger of Logan, and Lynn Anderson (Keith) Lamb. His sons, Nolan Stanford (Brittany) Fonnesbeck of Bothwell, Shane Michael Fonnesback of Ogden, and Jay Christian (Erica) Fonnesbeck of Malad. Also surviving are his 4 sisters, Naydeen (Grant) Jensen, Joleen (John) Baty, Linda Collins and Gwen Fonnesbeck. He also has 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and 4 brother-in-laws, Mike Kalinowski, Joe Collins, Robert Davis and Monte Andreasen. A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 2 from 6-8 p.m. at Rudd Funeral Home in Garland 1234 S. main and at the Howell Valley Church 16035 N. 17400 W. Howell, Utah Wednesday, June 3 from 10-11 am and Funeral Services starting at 11:00. Interment will be held at the Brigham City Cemetery.
