Erma Evans Forbess, a Rancho Palos Verdes California, resident for the past 10 years, passed away June 5, 1994, in a Rancho Palos Verdes nursing home. She was born September 7, 1904, in Malad City, Idaho.
Mrs. Forbess was a 50 year member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Golden Rule Chapter #131 in Nyssa, Oregon, and had been an educator in Idaho School Districts in past years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Alvin Forbess, in 1975. Survivors include, sons: Richard E. Forbess of Corvallis, Oregon; Ronald A. Forbess of Rancho Palos Verdes, California; and Dennis L. Forbess of Vancouver, Washington. She is also survived by sisters: Mary Palmer of Centerville, Utah; Jennie Alder of Malad City; and Ilene Smalley of Long Beach California, and brothers: Wesley Evans of Stockton, California and Chester Evans of Fort Collins, Colorado. Other survivors include nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday, June 8 in Redondo Beach. A visitation was held Monday, June 13, at the Linquist & Sons Funeral Home, in Ogden, Utah. Graveside services followed in the Ogden City Cemetery.
