Melvin Smith Dies At Ogden Hospital

OGDEN-Melvin H. Smith, 27-year-old Malad, Idaho, farmer, died Tuesday in a local hospital of gunshot wounds received early Monday at his home near Malad. He was brought here for treatment immediately after the shooting.

He was born at Morgan, May 3,*, a son of Samuel B. and Aga Heiner Smith. The family moved to Malad in 1919, and he had resided there since. He was a teacher in the priesthood of the Malad L. D. S. Third ward.

Surviving besides his parents, are the following brothers aand(sic) sisters: Mrs. Orvis A. Call, Mrs. Chris *litton and Mrs. Adrain Dean of Ogden; Mrs. Lee Haviland and *illiard, Alvin and Samuel Smith, of Malad.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Ogden mortuary chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Ogden Memorial park.
