Mrs. William J. (Mary) Nielsen 68, wife of William J. Nielsen of Rt. 3, died of a heart condition at 10:15 a.m. Monday in a local hospital where she had been since Nov. 11.
She was born June 3, 1892, at Ammon, the daughter of Elizabeth Denning and Azariah F. Williams. She has lived all of her life at Ammon, where she attended school and participated actively in the LDS Church.
She was married to Mr. Nielsen May 13, 1913, at Idaho Falls. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple.
Survivors besides her husband are: sons and daughters, including: Mrs. Donald (Lalta) Wright, Shelley; Mrs. Carroll (Ruby) Smith, Blackfoot; Mrs. Zee (Lois) McDaniel, Alpine, Utah; Mrs. Delma (Myrna) Andersen, Shelley; Mrs. Charles (Vera) VanTress, Pomona, Calif.; William J. Jr., Idaho Falls; Bruce V., also Idaho Falls. Four children preceded her in death. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Three sisters and one brother survive. They are: Mrs. Charles Wetzel, Iona; Mrs. Los Donnelly, Idaho Falls; Mrs. William Helser and John J. Williams, both of Idaho Falls.
Funeral services will be announced later by Wood Funeral Home.
