Mary Facer Nielsen

Mary Facer Nielsen, 73, longtime Malad resident, died Friday, March 3, in the Oneida County nursing home.
She was born March 15, 1915, in Cherry Creek, to James Alma and Rosella Dalton Facer. She grew up in the Cherry Creek and was educated in Samaria.
She married Ronald Williams in 1935 and they later divorced. She married Albert Carl Nielsen October 15, 1941, in Malad. He died May 10, 1978.
She lived in Holbrook and later in Malad. For several years she was a cook at the Chat ‘n Chew Café.
She was a member of the LDS church and worked in Relief Society. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and gardening.
She is survived by six sons, Wallace Facer, Malad, James Albert Nielsen, Ely, Nevada, Rex and Wayne Nielsen, both of Fallon, Nevada, Larry Nielsen, Silverdale, Washington, two daughters, Mrs. Bill (JoAnne) Red Cloud, the Dalles, Oregon and Mrs. Gail (Louise) Hess, Plymouth, Utah; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Raymond Facer, Salt Lake City, and Evan Facer, Ogden, Utah; and a sister, Mrs. Melba Lewis, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by one son, seven brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Malad First LDS Ward, with Bishop Sheldon Jensen officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery..
