Mrs. Marjorie Ward Nielsen, 41, of Malad, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1982 at her home of cancer.
She was born Dec. 1, 1941, in Malad, a daughter of Charles Welton and Faye Madsen Ward.
She was reared in Woodruff, south of Malad, and attended school in Malad. She graduated from Malad High School.
She married David DeMar Nielsen on Aug. 19, 190 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
They owned and operated a dairy farm in the Malad area.
She was active in the LDS Church, serving in the Primary presidency and as a Relief Society teacher. She a=was also a genealogy extractor.
Surviving are her husband of Malad, two sons and two daughters; David DeMar Nielsen Jr., Bryan Ward Nielsen, Pamela Nielsen and Kirstine Nielsen, all of Malad.
Also surviving are her parents of Cherry Creek, two brothers and two sisters; Charles Owen Ward, Dale Frank Ward, Mrs. Dale (Joan) Hawkins, all of Cherry Creek; Helen Ward, Malad, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at the Malad LDS 3rd Ward chapel with Garth Sweeten officiating.
Friends may call this evening from 7 to 9 at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad and Tuesday prior to the services.
Interment in the Malad City Cemetery.
