SERVICES WEDNESDAY FOR MRS. THOMAS

Funeral services were held at the Reorganized LDS Church for Mrs. Mary M. Jones Thomas, 62, who died February 28, 1959 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lewis E. Scott, in Independence, MO.

Evan E. Jones offered the prayer at the home. At the church, Wesley Crowther played the prelude and postlude and Cherrell Budge, violin obligato, Elder Houston Hobart offered the invocation and Seventy Glen H. Johnson, the benediction. The obituary was read by Elder Wendell Sylvester and Apostle Reed M. Holmes preached the sermon. Musical numbers were a solo, Lucille Morris; duet, Iris Barker and Leora Brown, Seventy Glen A. Johnson officiated at the services and Chloe Ann Price read a poem.

Apostle Reed M. Holmes dedicated the grave. Casket bearers were Jack L. Price, Farrell Price, Jesse M. Thomas, Daniel Neal Thomas, Dannis Jones and Gerald Welker. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery directed by the Benson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was born at St. John, March 20, 1896, a daughter of Evan W. and Mayme Evans Jones. She was married to Joshua W. Thomas, May 30, 1917 at St. John. He died in 1951. She was a member of the Reorganized LDS Church and the Native Daughters of Idaho Pioneers.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lewis E. (Ann) Scott, Independence, MO; Mrs. Robert (Lois) Hartnett, Covina, CA; five grandchildren, two brothers and seven sisters, Mrs. John L. (Anella) Price, Malad; Edward E. Jones, Pocatello; Mrs. Sarah Price, Blackfoot; Evan E. Jones, Pocatello; Mrs. C.M. (Mabel) Butner, Danville, CA; Mrs. C. A. (Alice) Helppie, El Paso, TX; Mrs. Elton (Vera) Welker, Logan; Mrs. Jack (Wilda) Thompson, San Lorenzo, CA; Mrs. Dick (Thelma) Rockwell, LaFayette, CA.
