Mrs. Mary Jones Evans, 89, died in a San Francisco hospital of a heart ailment. She was born at Salt Lake City on June 30, 1877 to Amos and leah Parry Jones. She was married to William Morgan Evans on January 28, 1900. He died February 13, 1913. She moved to San Francisco in 1935. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Reorganized LDS Church.

Surviving are five sons and three daughters, Raymond, Malad; Evan, Pacifica, CA; Lester, San Jose, CA; Amos, Redwood City, CA; Edward, Mrs. Anne Hall, Mrs. Herman (Leah) Cole, all of San Francisco, CA; Mrs. A.J. (Leola) Cavana, Alameda, CA; 22 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Mrs. Rose Lowry, Malad; Mrs. Leah Hill, Grand Junction, CO.
