MARY EMMA WILLIAMS RODERICK

Mary Emma Williams Roderick, 83, passed away in March 31, 2005, of pulmonary fibrosis at her home in Malad.

She was born February 9, 1922, in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Arthur T. and Nora Harrison Williams. She married Farrel Williams July 22, 1938, and their marriage was solemnized later in the Logan LDS Temple of April 22, 1948. Seven children were born to this marriage.

Farrel passed away on August 18, 1976. On December 9, 1977, she married John J. Roderick.

She has spent her life in service of her family, community and church. She worked as an LPN at the Oneida County Hospital for many years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in all of her callings.

She is survived by her husband, John J. Roderick of Malad; three sons, Farrel Dale (Eileen) Williams, Bartley Edwin (Carol) Williams and Michael Arthur (Jen) Williams, all of Malad; four daughters; Marylyn (Rees) Roundy of Wellsville, Utah; Rosalee Lamb of Malad; Julie (LaMonte) Waldron of Weston; Jeanetta ( Burt) Flint of Malad; six sisters, June Jones, Dillon, Montana; Lucille Olsen, Malta, Idaho; Nora Price, Darlene (Harold) Neilsen, Hanna Lou Williams, and Barbara (Dennis) Bingham, all of Malad; 39 grand-children, 95 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Patsy (Andy) Bybee of Malad; eight step grandchildren; and 23 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, three grandsons and one daughter-in-law.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at noon in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel. Burial followed in the St. John Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Horsley Funeral Home, Malad.
