Ralph Hawkins Roderick, 26 February 1915

After a short illness, Ralph Roderick passed away on February 25, 2002 in Salt Lake City.

Ralph was born February 26, 1915 in Arbon, ID. He was the 8th of 15 children born to David Price and Elizabeth Hawkins Roderick. On September 15, 1936 Ralph married the love of his life, Nadine Shumway in the Logan Temple. They moved to Salt Lake City in 1943 where Ralph worked for Mountain Fuel for 34 years.

After retiring, Ralph spent his time helping family and friends. He remodeled his daughters’ homes, helped his son in law build a cabin, fixed cars for his grandsons, built dollhouses for his granddaughters and cleared his neighbors’ driveways with his snow blower. He also enjoyed working on his immaculate vegetable and flower gardens.

While he is greatly missed, Ralph’s life will be cherished by his three daughters and their husbands: Adele and Larry King, Zenabeth and Darrel Fereday, Arline and Harold Mann, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, brother Jed Roderick and sister Beth Dorsey.

Funeral services will be held March 2, 2002 at Larkin Mortuary with interment in Elysion Gardens.
