Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Dudley Jensen, 68, lifelong Malad resident, who died Saturday at one p.m. in an Ogden hospital, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Malad Third Ward with Hubert Gleed in charge.
Prayer at the home was given by Chauncey Sorenson; invocation by Edward N. Crowther and benediction by James B. Jones, Speakers were Henry E. Thomas and Bishop Jesse Hughes. The obituary and remarks were given by Hubert Gleed.
Musical numbers included the organ prelude and postlude by Mrs. Pauline Atkinson; song, Gwen and June Ward; instrumental number Mrs. Fern Willie and Mrs. Pauline Atkinson; song, Gwen and June Ward; instrumental number, Mrs. Fern Willie and Mrs. Pauline Atkinson; song, Keith Evans. Interment was in the Brigham City cemetery where Joseph F. Dudley dedicated the grave.
Mrs. Jensen was born September 18, 1882 in Cherry Creek, Idaho, a daughter of Joseph W and Sarah Jane Jenkins Dudley. She was educated in Idaho schools.
She was married to James Peter Jensen of Malad on June 27, 1923 in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple.
An active member of the L.D.S. church, Mrs. Jensen served in the Relief Society and was a member of the Malad Stake Sunday School and Primary boards for many years.
Survivors include her husband of Malad, one daughter, Mrs. Roy A. Jensen of Idaho Falls/ three stepsons, Royal B. Jensen, A. Rex Jensen both of Malad and Ralph B. Jensen of Fairfield, Idaho; Two stepdaughters, Mrs. LaRue Savage, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Edna Foley, Ogden, and the following brothers and sisters: Joseph F. Dudley and Mrs. Sarah Apgood, both of Ogden; Moses Dudley, Malad, and Mrs. Anna Richards, Bend, Ore.
