Mary Bennett Pieper dies at Walla Walla[sic]

Mrs. Mary Bennett Pieper, 90, died Thursday [Oct. 7, 1981] in St. Mary’s Hospital, Walla Walla, Wash.[Washington].

She was born May 29, 1891, to William P. and Rachel Stubbs Jones at Malad.

She married Frank Bennett June 10, 1913. He died Feb. 7, 1919. She later married Charles Pieper, and moved to Walla Walla, Wash.[Washington]. He died July 20, 1964.

She was employed by J. C. Penney Co. in Malad for many years.

Survivors include a son and two daughters: Jack Bennett, Spokane, Wash.[Washington]; Mrs. Gibbs (Lois) Allen, Portage, Utah; and Mrs. Ralph (LaWana) Reiger, Walla Walla, Wash.[Washington]; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Walla Walla. Graveside rites were Thursday at the Malad Cemetery.
