Centerville – Mary B. Evans Palmer passed away Friday, September 19, 1997 in Provo, Utah.
Mary was born February 9, 1908 in Malad, Idaho to Evan J. Evans and Clara Esther Bolingbroke. She married W. Wendell Palmer, April 2, 1932 in Elko, Nevada, later, in 1970, solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She attended school in Malad, Albion Normal School and Idaho State College in Pocatello, Idaho. She taught school in Holbrook and Malad. Her many talents in homemaking include sewing and cooking. She was also an artist doing painting and copper artwork.
Mary and Wendell lived in several places, including: Burley and Malad, Idaho; Topaz, Utah; Bismarck, North Dakota; Ft. Washakie, Wyoming; Klamath Indian Agency, Oregon and Bemidji, Minnesota. They retired in Burley, Idaho in 1961.
Mary is survived by two daughters and one son: Gayle Davis, Chandler, Arizona; Susan VanWagenen, Provo, Utah; and James W. Palmer, Redmond, Washington; 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 22, 1997 in Centerville, Utah. Grave side services were held in Malad, Idaho.
