Services Monday for Mrs. Richards

Funeral services were held Monday at the St. John LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs. Mary Ann Larson Richards, 75, who died July 25th [1969] at San Leandro, Calif., of natural causes. Bishop James Madson officiated.

Family prayer at the Benson Funeral Home was offered by Dr. Thomas W. Richards. Prelude and postlude music at the chapel was played by Lysle Deschamps. Prayers were offered by Eugene Edwards and Dale Blaisdell, A vocal trio was sung by Helen Jones, Miriel Dredge and Wanda Edwards and a duet by Carol Daniels and Connie Budge. Accompanists were Arnold Jones and Emma Ward. The speaker was Evan E. Jones.

Concluding rites were at the Malad City Cemetery with Raiford Benson offering the dedication. Casket bearers were Robert Kyle, Leland Morgan, Joseph Lindsey, Cornelius Jones, Elmer Lewis, and Dillon Smith. Flowers were carried by members of the Daughters of the Idaho Pioneers and the War Mothers.

She was born April 17, 1894, at St. John, Idaho, to James W. and Jane Jones Larson. She was married to James A. Richards on November 28, 1912, at Malad. Mr. Richards died May 2, 1958. She was a member of the Daughters of Idaho Pioneers and the War Mothers.

Survivors include a son and two daughters; James L. Richards and Mrs. Jane Kyle, both of San Leandro; Mrs. Lester (Velda) Peabody, Malad; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; a brother and sister; Oscar Larson, St. John, and Mrs. Dan C. (Minnie) Thomas, Salt Lake City.
