Mark Lundy Colton (Birth – December 13, 1954)

Mark Lundy Colton, 27, Steilacoon (Steilacoam), Washington, died September 19 (1982) at his home. A former Malad resident, he was born December 13, 1954, in Pocatello to LaVern and Joyce Thorpe Colton. He grew up and attended schools in Malad. He joined the army when he was 18, and served five years in Germany where he worked as a helicopter mechanic. He had been stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington recently.

He married Ruith Stearns of Copenhagen, Denmark, in March, 1981. He was a member of the LDS Church. Services were held Saturday at the Malad LDS First Ward chapel. Military rites were performed by a U. S. Army honor guard at the Malad City Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Steilacoom, Wash; three stepchildren, Danny, Tommy, and Leslie, all of Steilacoom; his parents, Malad, a grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Colton, Malad; four brothers, David L., Malad; Joseph W., Big Piney, Wyo.; Roger J., Oceanside, Calif.; and Paul D., Malad; one sister, Linda Brown, Idaho Falls.
