Margaret Warner Ranson, (1912)

RANSON, MARGARET WARNER, May 9, 1912 – August 24, 2004

ROY – Margaret Warner Ranson, 92, died August 24, 2004 at the home of her daughter of causes incident to age. She was born May 9, 1912 in Mountain Green, Utah, a daughter of Ralph Goodman and Catherine Freestone Warner. Margaret graduated from Morgan High School and the Dee Nursing Program in Ogden, Utah.

On April 24, 1934 she married Archie W. Ranson in Lewiston, Idaho. Archie preceded her in death in March of 1995.

Margaret was a resident of Ogden for most of her life and later moved to Fruit Heights and then to Roy to live with her daughter.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various capacities including Primary and Relief Society. She enjoyed her service as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple.

Margaret was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Until the loss of her sight, she enjoyed reading, crocheting and other sewing projects.

Surviving are two sons and four daughters, Jerry (Althea) Ranson, Layton, UT; Clifford (Alice) Ranson, Aiken, SC; Fern (Robert) Freeman, West Point, UT; Helen Wight, Roy, UT; Midge (Brent) Lund, Washington Terrace, UT; Bonnie (Hyrum) Price, Malad, ID; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and three sisters, Paul F. Warner and June Poll, both of Mtn. Green, UT; Phyllis Whitesides, Kaysville, UT; and Kay Warner, Hurricane, UT.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Eileen Burton and Dorothy Wilkinson, a brother, Lloyd, her husband, one son, Ralph and daughter, Delores.

Funeral services will be held at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park.
