MABEL SMITH RANDALL

FORMER MALAD RESIDENT DIES AT CENTERVILLE

CENTERVILLE — Mrs. Mabel Smith Randall, wife of E. E. (Bert) Randall of Centerville, died at her home here Friday [October 2, 1942] after a long illness.

Mrs. Randall was born in Centerville, a daughter of William R. and Mary E. Smith. She was an active member of the L. D. S. church and served as an officer in the Relief society, and YWMIA at Centerville. She was a charter member of the Sagamore camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and served as a first vice president and historian of the camp. While historian she compiled a history of Centerville.

For seven years Mrs. Randall made her home in Malad, Idaho, but for the rest of her life had lived in Centerville.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Linda R. Watkins and Fern Randall of Centerville; two sisters, Mrs. John F. Parrish of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Henry Cleveland of Centerville; a brother, David F. Smith of Salt Lake City, and six grandchildren.
