FUNERAL HERE FOR MARGARET MORGAN

Mrs. Margaret Mary Richards Morgan, 90, former Malad resident, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 1968 in a John Day, Oregon hospital.

She was born July 3, 1878 at Malad to Edmond and Ann Lloyd Richards. She married Thomas Morgan, Oct. 19, 1902 at Samaria. The marriage was solemnized Jan. 21, 1914 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Morgan died Nov. 3, 1960.

Mrs. Morgan attended Malad schools and was an active member of the LDS church. She moved to John Day in 1963.

Survivors include a son, Thomas R., Las Vegas, and daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Mary) Gleed, John Day, and Mrs. Kenneth (Myra) Knudson, Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry J. Richards, Clearfield, Utah; and a sister, Mrs. Mary R. Thomas, Modesto, Calif.

Services were conducted by Counselor Raiford G. Benson in the Malad Third Ward LDS Chapel, Wednesday. Henry L. Gleed offered the family prayer. Speakers were Bishop John J. Roderick, Bishop Lon W. Corbridge and Elaine Castleton, who read the obituary. Eldon Corbridge, Leora Brown and Larry Tuttle presented vocal solos, accompanied by Janiel Brown, who also played prelude and postlude music. The invocation was offered by Dale A. Evans and the benediction, by Bishop Jesse Hughes.

Dedicatory prayer at Malad City cemetery was offered by Pres. Hubert Gleed. Casket bearers were Norman Gleed, Floyd Gleed, Larry Tuttle, Dale Evans, Kenneth Knudson and Victor Anderson. Flowers were arranged by members of Malad Third Ward Relief Society, Reba Henrie, president.

Interment at Malad City cemetery was directed by Benson Funeral Home.
