Margaret Eva Beeton Laws, 87, passed away August 12, 2010 at the Bear River Valley Care Center in Tremonton, Utah. She was born June 27, 1923, in Malad, Idaho to James Andrew and Sarah Lillian Jones Beeton.
She was educated in Henderson Creek and Woodruff, Idaho graduating from Malad High School in 1940. She attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah, leaving to work at J.N. Ireland Bank in Malad before marrying Joseph William Laws, Jr. on May 12, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away in 1980.
She taught piano and organ lessons for many years to many aspiring artists. She held several jobs and sacrificed much to help support her family’s needs over the years. She worked for 20 years as a teller at the Tremonton, Utah branch of First Security Bank, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of the LDS Church and served in all auxiliaries. Possibly her greatest asset was musical support as pianist and organist.
She is survived by her children: James G. Laws and Julie L. Warren (Kim)’ brothers: Gerald (Shirley) and Martel (Elaine) Beeton; sister: Della Hulm; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sons, Joseph William Laws 111, and Kevin Dee Laws.
Her life has been blessed with good times and bad times, as well as loving parents, loving family and cherished friends. She was always pleased to get visits or calls from family and friends.
Funeral Services were held Monday, August 16, 2010, at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, 111 North 100 East Tremonton, Utah.
