Funeral Today For Mrs. Lucy Davis

Funeral services for Mrs Lucy E. Davis, 79, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Thorpe, Monday, (15 Feb 1943) will be held at the First Ward Chapel this afternoon with Bishop La Grande Horsley in charge.

Mrs. Davis, the daughter of Stephen and Lucy Waterbury Wight was born at Brigham City, Utah July 24, 1863. She was married to David Joseph Davis Dec. 24, 1886 in Malad. Mr. Davis died Sept. 22, 1939.

Shortly after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Davis moved to Pleasant view where they homesteaded a farm. They lived there until about 15 years ago when they moved to Malad.

Mr. (Mrs.) Davis was a member of the L. D. S. church and while living in
Pleasantview she served as counselor in the Relief society and as a visiting teacher.

Mrs. Davis is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Thorpe of Malad, and
two sons, J. Stuart Davis of Pleasantview, Idaho; Stephen W. Davis of Seattle, Wash.
