LORNA RAE REED

Lorna Rae Reed, 51, Ririe, died December 13, 1987, of a heart attack at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 20, 1935, at River Heights, Utah, to Edmund Windsor and Melba Evans Rice. She was raised in Malad and attended schools there. She later went to Ricks College.

She married Jerry D. Reed, March 18, 1955, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

They lived in Washington for three years, the southeastern United States for 2½ years and settled in Ririe, where she and her family have lived for the past 21 years.

She was a first-grade teacher at Ririe Elementary School, where she taught for the last 14 years.

She was an active member of the LDS Church. She was a volunteer in the kitchen of the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Jerrilee Reed of Provo, Utah, and Mrs. Travis (Darla Rae) Rock of Pamona, Calif.; two sons, Brad W. Reed of Sugar City, and Lynn J. Reed of Provo; her mother, Melba Rice Jensen of Malad; three brothers Odell Rice of Nephi, Utah, Richard Rice of Ogden, and Clayne Jensen of Bountiful; a sister, Mrs. Arlo Summers of Idaho Falls; and four grandchildren.

Funeral was held Wednesday, December 16, at the Ririe LDS Stake Center with Bishop Bruce Koon officiating.

Burial was in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
