LORIN THORPE

OGDEN – Lorin Thorpe, 80, of Ogden died August 21, 1990 at his home of heart failure. He as born on July 13, 1910 in Malad, Idaho, a son of Ephriem and Janet Thomas Thorpe.

On January 7, 1931, he married Lyle Timpson in Malad, Idaho.

He had retired from Hill Air Force Base where he had been an inspector. He was an elder in the LDS Church and a member of FOE, Lodge #2471. He loved all kinds of sports.

Surviving are his wife of Ogden, one son and three daughters, Steven Thorpe, Roy; Darlene Power, Salt Lake City; Louise Rothacker, Philadelphia, PA; Sally Bills, Ogden; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters, Tommy Thorpe, Billy Thorpe, Neil Thorpe, all of Malad, ID; Mary Nelson, Ogden; Lela Dutry, Donna Hansen, Washington State.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
