Lorenzo Davis dies Friday

Dr. Lorenzo L. (Ren) Davis, 70, of San Jose, California, a former Malad resident, died Friday, October 26, (1979) at San Jose.

He was born Sept. 26, 1909, at Malad to Richard B. and Esther Evans Davis. He grew up in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School. He was a graduate of the University of Utah and the University of Southern California Dental School.

He married Hazel Woodland July 16,1934, at Logan, Utah. He lived in Malad until 1940 when he moved to San Jose where he had since resided.

He was a member of the LDS Church, a member of San Jose Lions Club, and was past master of the Masonic Lodge in Malad. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the army.

Survivors include his wife, San Jose; two sons and one daughter, Richard W. and Robert L., San Jose, Calif., and Catherine Huxford, Monmouth, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Roland B. Davis and Orpha E. Davis, both of Malad.

Graveside services were held Wednesday at the Malad City Cemetery.
