SERVICES HELD FOR LORENZO EZRA HOSKINS
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Portage LDS Ward Chapel for Lorenzo Ezra Hoskins, 86, who died Sunday, Feb 24, in Ogden.
At the home, family prayer was by N.J. John. At the chapel, with Bishop Devere Harris officiating, organ prelude and postlude was by Azella Gibbs, Musical numbers were a vocal duet, Maurine and Azella Gibbs; male quartet, Glen Morris, Douglas J. Gibbs, E. Wynn John, Denton John; vocal duet, Elma Bell and Lavell Parkinson with choral leading by Ila Mae John. Accompanists were Elma Bell and Fern Hall. Speakers were Bishop Ora H. John, Wendell Hall with obituary and remarks by Maurine Gibbs, and Bishop Harris. Invocation was by Arthur L. Gibbs with benediction by Hyrum Gibbs.
Concluding rites were conducted at the Portage Cemetery with dedicatory prayer by Raiford G. Benson.
Flowers were under the supervision of the Portage Ward Relief Society members.
Services were under the direction of Benson Funeral Home.
Casket bearers were Leonard Hoskins, Jams Olsen, Alonzo Kemp, Fred Hoskins, Murray Hoskins and Larry Alleman.
