SERVICES HELD FOR LONNIE E. SMITH

Funeral services were conducted Monday at the White Mortuary in Twin Falls for Lonnie E. Smith, 57, who died Thursday morning about 10 miles south of Jackpot, Nevada when the car he was driving blew a front tire and went out of control and struck a large boulder.

Concluding rites were conducted at the Sunset Memorial Park.

Mr. Smith married Christie Stuart, formerly of Malad and the daughter of Mrs. Will Stuart, on August 25, 1936 at Pocatello. He came to Idaho from Donnellson, Iowa and was a member of the LDS Church and Elks Lodge.

At the time of his death he owned and operated the Lonnie E. Smith Construction Co., Twin Falls.

Survivors include his widow; son and daughter, Lonnie Mac Smith, student at University of Utah, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Mary K. Skinner, Hollister, Idaho; a brother and two sisters, Wesley Smith; and Mrs. Lily Knabe, both of San Diego; Mrs. Eugene Brockman, Donnellson, Iowa; two grandchildren.

Those from Malad attending services were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mills and Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Harris.
