LINDA BIRD NEZ

Linda Bird Nez was born January 30, 1954 in Seattle, WA to G. Perry Bird and Ila Dell Evans Bird. She attended Mt. Rainier High School in Seattle and graduated from Righetti High School in Santa Maria, CA. She attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University and later graduated from cosmetology school. Linda served an LDS mission in San Antonio, TX 1975-76.

She married Rudy Nez in 1981. They later divorced.

Linda enjoyed her 15 years as a staff asst. at Wasatch Elementary and being a beautician at her in-home salon, “Linda’s House of Hair”. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing and being a mom and grandma. Linda was an awesome mother, grandma, daughter, sister and friend. She always put others first.

Linda is survived by her father, G. Perry Bird; five children, Jeff (Jessica) Nez, Heather Nez, Melissa (Kyle) Phillips, Heidi Nez, Ryan Nez; grandchildren, Adia and Liam Rounkies, Brylee and Keaton Phillips; siblings, Michael Bird, Christine (Rick) McCullough, Dwight (Vicki) Bird, T.J. (John) Bond.

Funeral services will be held March 2, 2012 at the Weber Heights Stake Center, Ogden, UT. Interment will be at the Mendon Cemetery.
