Lily Rosa (Bishoff) Daniels, 87, a long-time Pocatello resident, died Sunday afternoon (29 Sep 1985) in the Bannock Nursing Home.

She was born March 18, 1898, in Bern, to John and Rosa Stadler Bishoff and grew up in Malad where she attended school. In 1910, her family moved to Arbon Valley where he father homesteaded and where she spent the remaining years of her youth and continued her schooling.

She married Eli Daniels Dec. 3, 1913, in Pocatello. They lived on the David Daniels ranch near West Fork in Arbon Valley for several years. They were later divorced.

She then moved to Pocatello, where she met and married Raymond Hedges on June 18, 1924. They were later divorced and she has made Pocatello her permanent residence since that time.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, receiving her endowments in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple May 8, 1968. She served as a Primary and Relief Society teacher for many years. She also enjoyed music, art, sewing and in later years was very interested and involved in writing her life history.

She is survived by her son, Arlo Daniels, Pocatello; three daughters, Zella Bolingbroke, Arbon; Jean Hall, Coeur d’Alene; Rose Lewis, Pocatello; a brother, Fred Bishoff, McCammon; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard E. Daniels; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.,m. in the Henderson Funeral Chapel with Bishop V. Dale Kirkman of the LDS 22nd Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the Henderson Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th. Burial will be in the family plot in Mountainview Cemetery.
