ARBON VALLEY PIONEER DIES AT CALDWELL

John M. Daniels, 96, of 1202 Blaine Street, Caldwell, a pioneer of eastern Idaho, died Friday (20 Nov 1959) afternoon in a Caldwell nursing home.

Mr. Daniels was born April 21, 1863, in Brigham City and was reared and attended school at Malad City. He was married Dec 25 1890, in Anaconda, Mont, to Martha R. Richards and the couple lived in Phillipsburg, Mont. for six years. They moved in 1896 to Arbon Valley in eastern Idaho and farmed until 1921. They lived in Rupert from 1921 to 1940, when they moved to Meridian, and came to Caldwell in 1944.

He was a member of the Reorganized LDS Church of Nampa.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Daniels are five sons, Tom of Pocatello William and Ralph, both of Caldwell; Lee of Rupert and Dan L. Daniels of Seattle, two brothers, George of Malad and Henry of Long Beach, Calif, and 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
