Ina Yearsley Daniels

MALAD – Ina Josephine Yearsley Daniels, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away early Sunday, June 12, 1994, in Ogden, Utah.

She was born April 7, 1929, in Malad, a daughter of Nathaniel Melvin and Josephine Jones Yearsley. She was reared on the family farm in St. John, and received her early education in Malad. She was a graduate of Malad High School, Class of 1947.

On April 12, 1946, Ina married her lifelong companion and friend, Devon Daniels, at Pocatello, Idaho. They made their first home in Pocatello, and also had lived in Ely, Nevada, Ogden, Utah, Idaho Falls and Malad. They moved to North Ogden, Utah in 1966, where they had since resided.

Ina was employed at Hill Air Fore Base in Utah for 26 years. Since her retirement in 1987 she had worked for Taster’s demos. Ina’s great love for music, sports and her family will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Devon Daniels, of North Ogden, Utah; one daughter and husband, Sandy and Bob Foxley of Roy, Utah; one son and his wife, Kevin and Mary Lynn Daniels, of Malad; one daughter-in-law, Linda Daniels, of Malad; four sisters, Mrs. Don (Rula) Gowers of Nephi, Utah, Mrs. Phil (Theone) Rees of West Valley, Utah, and Karen Kent of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers and wives, Dale and Audene Yearsley and Joyce and Renee Yearsley, all of Orem, Utah. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her oldest son, Steve “Craig” Daniels passed away June 8, 1992. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Twila Giles and Elmo Smith.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 1994, at noon in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel, 400 N. 200 W. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, on Tuesday, June 14, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
