Funeral services for Lewis H. Chivers, 74, who died Sunday morning at the Oneida hospital of a kidney ailment, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Verl Moon presiding.

The speakers were: Leo D. Williams, Bishop W. W. Thomas, President Thos. W. Richards, and Bishop Moon. Musical numbers were furnished by Margaret E. Jones, Stillman Harris, Jenkin Palmer accompanied by S. M Powell and Phyllis Jones. Prayers were offered by Jos. a. Jones, James B. Jones and at the home by Josiah Price. Prof. Powell played the prelude and postlude. J. Guy Benson dedicated the grave.

Those from out of town in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McDermitt, Mrs. Lawrence Henderson, Mrs. Hunter, Clifton; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Henderson, Hyrum; Mrs. Ethel Kerr, Challis; Mary Ann Thomas, Berkley, Calif.; Mrs. Thos. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bullock, Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Crump, Pocatello.

Mrs. Irene Bullock, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Hall, Willard Bullock, McCammon; Mr. and Mrs. Olen Josephson, Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. John D. Williams, Tremonton, and Ishmal Smith, Ogden.

Mr. Chivers was born Nov. 26, 1870, at Malad, the son of James and Eliza Chivers. He was married to Minnie A. Harris of Woodruff, Idaho, in 1891. He spent most of his life on a farm in Henderson Creek. He was an elder in the L. D. S. church.

Mr. Chivers is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ed Price and Mrs. Royce Jones, and one brother, James Chivers Sr. all of Malad. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and give great grandchildren.
