Lester J. Williams

Lester J. Williams 77, 715 Willow, died Wednesday, July 19, 1989 at his home following an extended illness.
He was born June 7, 1912 at Malad, to Ed and Bertha Jones Williams. He attended school in Malad.
He married Edna Mae John March 9, 1934 at Malad. She preceded him in death in July 1978.
He was a carpenter and served out of the Pocatello Carpenter’s Union until his retirement in 1977.
He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Garth (Dianne) Holmes, Olympia, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Pete (Mae) Griffee, Veyo, Utah; and Mrs. Lud (Thella) Nielson, Pocatello; and Mrs. Homer (Alice) Reeder, Glendale, Calif. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Henderson Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th with Bishop Anthony Wadsworth of the Pocatello LDS 10th Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Samaria Cemetery, Malad.
