LeVeda Eliza Williams Williams, 93, died Wednesday, May 10, in the Oneida County Nursing Home.
She was born December 4, 1895, in Malad, to George J. and Nellie Griffin Williams. She was raised and educated in Malad and St. John.
She married William Jenkins Williams April 25, 1917, in Malad. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He died June 9, 1965.
She worked for many years in the Malad area, caring for the sick and elderly, and babysitting. She also worked at the LDS Bishop’s Storehouse.
She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities, including, Primary President, visiting teacher, Young Women’s Organization, Relief Society, and taught in Primary and Sunday School.
She was a member of the St. John Chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, crafts, flowers and gardening. .
She is survived by five sons, Ralph Williams, Ogden, Utah; Thomas L. Williams, Cheyenne, Wyoming; John L. Williams, Tremonton, Utah; Melvin R. Williams, Meridian; Verl G. Williams, Malad; one daughter, Mrs. Vahl (Mary LaVeda) Mills, Pocatello; 28 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Eldon Williams, Ririe; and one sister, Mrs. La Von Erwin, St. George, Utah. She was preceded in death by two sons.
Funeral services were at noon on Saturday in the Malad LDS third Ward. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
