Lennie L. Eisenhauer, born 16 December 1929, to Leone W. and Russell Dille, was raised to the sound of music as her father fiddled and her mother accompanied him on the piano at many weekend gatherings in the ranching community of Holbrook, Idaho. Later in life, she and her father would be not only charter members of the Idaho Old Time Fiddlers Association, representing Idaho at the Seattle World’s Fair and later in the country of Romania, but they were also National Trick Fiddler Champions at an annual Weiser contest. She was also a charter member of Fiddlers Inc.
Lennie was a member of the LDS Church, in which she and Glenn Baum raised four daughters, Glenda Moyes (Dan) of San Antonio, Texas; Jan Lambert of Moscow, Idaho; Carolyn Baum-Buttorff (Mark) of Nampa, Idaho, and Laurie Henderson (Kim) of Casper, Wyo. Lennie married Gerald Eisenhauer on July 15, 1984, who was her loving and caring spouse throughout their marriage and through many medical challenges to which she finally succumbed on Monday, March 2, 200.
Her life is celebrated by Jerry’s family, Cindy Galvin (Mike); Julie Hartman and Judy Loughmiller (Larry); her four daughters; her siblings, Robert Dille (Tina) and Margaret Brackenbury (Phil). She is loved by her grandchildren: Derek, Ann, Joel, Ben and Jennifer Moyes; Jerry Lambert Jr., Brent Buttorff, Misty Welsh (Niel) and Tevis Henderson; Greg, Brian and Scott Hartma; Anna Peterson (Craig) and Christopher Galvin; Kate Tatton (Josh) and Kari Griffee (Adam); 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law Myrna Dille. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Russell Jr. and George Dille; and one stepson, Jerry D. Eisenhauer.
A public viewing is scheduled between 7 and 8 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Parke’s Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road in Twin Falls, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7. Interment follows at Sunset Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend thanks for the wonderful friends and family who have supported them during this loss and the LDS Filer and Twin Falls 24th Wards for the family dinner following the service.
