Janice Weeks Egbert, 21 January 1932

Janice Weeks Egbert, 71, Malad, formerly of Grace and wife of Kay Egbert, passed away May 18, 2003 in Malad.

She was born January 21, 1932 in St. Ignatius, MT, a daughter of Richard Vere and Verda Roholt Weeks. Janice was raised and educated in Grace and was a graduate of Grace High School. She married James Gordon in 1949 and they were later divorced. After moving to Soda Springs, Janice began working in the banking business and for several years was employed with Idaho First Bank and Trust Co. as a teller and later in management.

In 1982 she married Kay Egbert and they lived in Malad for the past several years. Janice was an avid gardener and also enjoyed quilting.

She is survived by her husband, Kay, Malad; her father, Richard Weeks, Soda Springs; two sons, Jerry Gordon, Kellog, ID; and Mike Gordon, Livingston, MT; two daughters, Jana (Bill) Laird, Lovelock, NV; and Marie Nottingham, Lolo, MT; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Dawn (Leroy) Harr, Twin Falls and Lorraine (Bill) Mechum, Dubois, WY; and one step grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother and two step daughters, Paula Egbert and Pamela Jean Noyce.

Graveside services were held in the Grace City Cemetery.
