Leland C. Pubigee

Leland C. Pubigee, 78, passed away on Saturday July 11, 2009 at the University of Utah Medical Center from leukemia.
He was born on September 24, 1930 in Washakie, Utah. He was the son of Enos and Lillian Pabawena Pubigee.
Leland was the tribal cultural spiritual elder for the tribe. He also served as a vice president and councilman of the North western Band of the Shoshone Nation for 20 years.
Leland served in the Army during the Korean Conflict where he received a purple heart.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was an Elder in the Harper LDS Ward.
Leland was an auto-body repairman working in Tremonton.
He enjoyed auto mechanics, outdoor activities, deer hunting, pow-wows and especially loved his horses.
Leland is survived by his sister, Helen Timbimboo of Brigham City, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the North Stake Center, 620 North 300 East, Brigham City, Utah.
Family will greet friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Washakie Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
