SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. LEAH D. MORGAN

Funeral services were conducted at the Malad Fourth LDS Ward chapel Monday for Mrs. Leah Davis Morgan, 73, who died Friday, Aug. 7, 1961 in an Ogden nursing home of a heart ailment.

Bishop Arthur Servoss presided and read the obituary. Leon J. Castleton offered the family prayer; Joseph L. Christopherson, the invocation and James Madson, the benediction. The speaker was Wm. H. Rutter, Musical numbers were furnished by Jenkin L. Palmer and Margaret Boam and Phyllis Evans. Accompanists were Myra Jean John and Margaret Laws who also played the prelude and postlude. Judy Morgan and Patricia Morgan were in charge of the programs.

Raiford Benson offered the dedicatory prayer and flowers were arranged by members of the Fourth Ward Relief Society, Edith Archibald, president. Casket bearers were Dean Price, Clair Davis, Ray Thomas, Cleon Hone, Larry Bowman and Raymond Evans. Benson Funeral Home directed the burial at Malad City cemetery.

Mrs. Morgan was born June 11, 1888 at Salt Lake City to Joseph R. and Anna Louise Jones Davis. She was married to David W. Morgan Feb. 26, 1907 at Malad. Mr. Morgan died July 26, 1948.

Mrs. Morgan came to Malad when she was three years old and was educated in Malad schools.

She is survived by three sons, Orville Morgan, Los Angeles, David D. Morgan, Arimo, and Joseph D. Morgan, Malad; and three daughters, Mrs. Delilah Stanger and Viora Morgan, both of Malad, and Mrs. Earl Price, Downey. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Arthur Davis, Idaho Falls and Griff J. Davis and a sister, Pearl Davis, both of Malad
