Lawrence Lavon Gilgen, son of Lawrence and Elene Vaughan Gilgen was born on September 28, 1938 in Malad. Idaho and passed away on August 14. 2014 in Ogden , Utah.
He married Linda Weaver on April 16, 1960. They later divorced.
He attended schools in California and Idaho, grad­uating from Downey High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He enjoyed fishing, hunt­ing, camping, and riding his motorcycle. His main passion was his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by h is children. Lori Thompson. Lana Beringer, Lawrence Lane Gilgen, and Lisa Raney; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Janette Treasure Dallinga.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandpar­ents.
Funeral services will be held at II:00 a.m. on Thurs­day, August 21, 2014 at My­ers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Wednes­day. August 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Thursday from 9:45 to I0:45 a .m. at the mortuary.
He will be going on his last ride to the Malad City Cemetery.
