Natrone Ward Sears

1939 – 2022

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend passed away at her home on May 16, 2022 with her family at her bedside. Born in Malad, ID on August 10, 1939 to Joseph Welton Ward Jr. and Gwendolyn Evans Ward.

She attended BYU and graduated in Human Development and Family Relations in 1965. After serving a two year LDS mission, she married her husband, Roger Gibson Sears at the Salt Lake City Temple in 1965. They moved to Bountiful Utah in 1973 to raise their young family. In 1985, she and Roger moved the family to South America where they spent the next 14 years learning a new culture, meeting new friends, and exploring a new world. They returned to Utah in 1999 where they built their final home.

Her family was her passion. Her entire life was dedicated to her husband and children. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and testified of his life. She taught her children the power of faith and prayer. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and smile. One of her favorite sayings was; “Today is the best day of your life.”

Natrone is survived by her husband Roger Sears; her daughters Tonya Sears, Julie Wright (Chris), Lisa Whittaker (Bryce), and Michelle Chenoweth (Ben); her sons Brett Sears (Stephanie), Brad Sears (Liz); grandchildren Stephen (Karissa), Michael (Emily), Brittany, Samantha (Chase), Preston (Sarah), Brandon (Savannah), Joshua, Nathan, Chandler, Colton, Ashton, Kade, George, Charles, Elizabeth, Ella, Ryker; great grandchildren Olivia, Ezra, Summer; brother Welton Ward (Trudy); sisters Marilyn Davies (Leon), Rosalind Mayfield (James), Clarice Burk (Gerrold).

She is preceded in death by her mother Gwendolyn Evans Ward; father Joseph Welton Ward Jr.; her daughter Melinda Sears; sister Shauna Ward Harvey (Conley); son in law Chris Wright; grandson Jason Wright; great grandson Beckham Sears.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 20th from 6-8pm and again on May 21 from 9:30-10:45am at the LDS church located at 33 S Moss Hill Dr, Bountiful, Utah

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21 at 11am, at 33 S Moss Hill Dr, Bountiful, Utah. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 1640 E Lakeview Dr, Bountiful, Utah. To view the webcast live of the funeral service and share online condolences go to www.jenkins-soffe.com.
