Kim LaDell Gibbs

Kim LaDell Gibbs died Sunday August 31, 1997 at his home.
He was born April 5, 1956 in Salt Lake City, a son of Lorin LaDell and Lois Jeanine Wright Gibbs.
At an early age his parents bought the Gibs family farm in portage, Utah. It was here that many of life’s lessons were taught. These included hard work, honesty, integrity, and seeing the job through.
He attended Bear River High School where he participated in football, basketball, and Future Farmers of America (FFA).
He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served in the various organizations. He had served a mission in San Diego California. Upon his return, he met and married Diane Westenskow. They are the parents of Jared, Jenny, and Emily. Kim worked in the construction industry for 18 years as a mechanic operator, and a salesman. He really enjoyed the friends he made in the industry.
Survivors include his wife and children of West Jordan, his brothers and sisters: Julie (Sherm) Richins; Debra Gibbs; Randy (Loraine) Gibbs; Blake (Kim) Gibbs; Todd (Cindy) Gibbs; Carrie (Chris) John and Alysia Gibbs. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 4, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Westbrook 2nd LDS Ward, 6200 South 4000 West. Friends may call at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the Church in addition, there will be a one hour viewing at approximately 3 p.m. in the Portage LDS Ward, Portage, Utah, before interment in the Portage Cemetery.
