Kelly Costello dies at Oregon

Services for Kelly Edison Costello, 61, Coos Bay, Oregon were held Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Coos Bay Ward, with Bishop Robert Starke officia¬ting. Interment was at the Ocean View Memory Gardens. Ser¬vices were under the direction of the Coos Bay Chapel of Campbell-Watkins Funeral Homes.

Mr. Costello, a resident of the Bay Area for 44 years, was born Jan. 6,1920, in Eugene and died Oct. 24 (1981) in Reno, Nev. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the AFL-CIO, Coos Bay, where he served as president in 1950. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1939. He was the son of the late John Abner and Rosalie Costello. He worked for many years for Evans Product Co. in Coos Bay. He was superinten¬dent at the Evans Products Mill in Gold Beach for eight years, superintendent for Vancouver Plywood in Many, La., for seven years and was superintendent for Olin-Craft Plywood in Huttig, Ark., for six years, after which he moved back to Coos Bay to retire.

Survivors include his widow, Helen Costello of Coos Ray; sons, Kelly W. Costello of Coos Bay and Clair Jones of North Bend; daughter, Norma Rath of Gold Beach; brothers, Ross Costello of Powers and Clair Costello of Albany; sister, Edith Hill of Roseville, Calif.; six grandchildren; one great-grand¬child; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Costello was the former Helen Hall of Cherry Creek.
