Graveside services for brother of Oneida residents

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery for Joseph E. Peterson, age 52, who died December 12th [1969] of a heart ailment at his home in Denver.

Mr. Peterson was born at Garland, Utah, May 4, 1917, to Hyrum and Mary Agnes Hill Peterson. He married Lois Goodman and they were divorced; he married Helen Maxine Root and they were divorced. Mr. Peterson was a member of the LDS Church and a veteran of World War II. He was employed by a motion picture film distributing firm.

Surviving are a son, Joseph Earl Jr., Denver; a daughter, Karen, Tucson, Arizona; brothers and sisters: Hyrum Jr., Mrs. Viola Thomas, both of Malad; Howard, Thatcher, Utah; Mrs. Leola Boley, Alhambra, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Smith, Rosemead, Calif.; Mrs. Helena Simmons, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Deloria Price, Samaria; Mrs. Eulalia Widmeyer, Ogden.
